Siemens ECAM Nuclear Medicine Machine

Nuclear Medicine Imaging

Nuclear Medicine Imaging is a specialty that uses small amounts of radioactive materials to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of a wide variety of medical disorders.

Nuclear medicine procedures provide information about both the anatomy of the body, the function of its organs, and chemistry at the molecular level.

Because nuclear medicine procedures are able to pinpoint molecular activity within the body, they offer the potential to identify a variety of bone and soft tissue diseases in their earliest stages as well as a patient’s immediate response to therapeutic interventions. The nuclear medicine department at Sand Lake Imaging has a state of the art Siemens E Cam. Our Nuclear Medicine technologists maintain their professional certification through the Nuclear Medicine Certification Board and/or the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
